dr visit

Tomorrow is my full body look-see at the dermatologist. Everyone say a prayer for me. I was warned back in May when I went in to have another procedure done by the nurse that there were several moles I needed to have looked at. For right now, that's not what is worrying me. It's how they will go about getting some of these moles off of my body. Pray, and pray hard, that I don't pass out from terror when they come near me with one of those dang straight razors (my little sister has been SO kind as to share with me details from her own dermatologist visit, implementing the type of torture only a little sister is capable of!!). Does anyone know if they use the happy gas at the dermatologist office like they do at the dentist? God, that would help me out!!

Good luck, the full body looksy is traumatizing enough to have to go through... I had to have this done when I was like 15 and they didn't find anything of concern but dear lord did the doc look everywhere and anywhere

Good luck...hope it won't be too bad. My husband just had to have some things removed last week.

don't worry! they'll numb you up first. i have a few moles removed every year (skin cancer runs in my family). the worst part is the needle prick of numbing medicine!!

I agree with EJ & Roo 100%! I went through all this at the end of the summer and have been getting a full body check since I was 14ish! It's really not that bad! Good luck, I'll be thinking about you!

Good luck.
If you do have to have anything taken off, really, it's no big deal. I'm the biggest scaredy cat there is, and when I got it done twice, it was a piece of cake.

Good luck! I make the whole family get checked out every year. (except me, I need to change that)
By the way, I love the picture on your profile!! Where is it?

Um, you haven't posted the results so I hope everything's ok. I went in last year and next thing I knew I was having something removed. My husband watched the whole thing and was fascinated. I was just gritting my teeth trying not to pass out! So I feel ya!
